Arahana Yadav

Graduate Assistant

Arahana Yadav is a MS in Global Affairs candidate at the NYU SPS Center for Global Affairs (CGA).  She is a Graduate Assistant at NYU’s Peace Research and Education Program (PREP). She holds her bachelors degree in Economics, Political Science and Sociology. She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in International Affairs and Diplomacy. 

Her research interests include grassroots and locally led peacebuilding in extreme risk circumstances and post-conflict societies. She hopes to focus her work on applying peacebuilding into security and risk management, with a particular focus on decolonisation. 

Arahana is also a certified Trainer for Civilian Protection and R2P by the Centre of United Nations Peacekeeping. Before studying at NYU, she was working as a research fellow at the Office of a Member of Parliament in New Delhi, India.
